Trauma and Entrepreneurship: Understanding how trauma effects success and what we can do about it

Last week I did a presentation about my discovery based off my own life experiences and the research I have been buried in for the last half decade. The thing that was most shocking to me was to find out that depending on the level of trauma in your life you might be up to 5000% more likely to commit suicide and if you are an entrepreneur there is a 2x chance that you will commit suicide! Now imagine if you are a “traumaprenuer” The implications are so drastic.

Trauma looks like entrepreneurship

Over the course my entrepreneurial endeavors and in conjunction with growing up in a trauma state I have noticed a few similarities that are honestly shocking. The reality is that trauma and entrepreneurship are not that different on paper when it comes to the effect that both have on our brains and bodies.

Before I started really doing the work and stepping into understanding why I was behaving the way I was and hurting the people that cared the most about me I was disassociated. Once I began begin very serious and studious in understanding how I got to where I was in the trauma frame and why I was sabotaging everything around me I realized some very important things about myself.
